Irvin “Snook” Stevens, age 69, of Manchester, Kentucky passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021. Irvin worked in the coal industry for 49 years. He was of the Baptist faith.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Gail Sams Stevens; two children, Kendra Bridges & husband Brad of Tyner, KY, April Whitaker & Bryan of Manchester, KY; three siblings, Clayton Stevens & wife Charlotte of Manchester, KY, Rodney Stevens of Oneida, KY, Thelma Hoskins & husband Hughie of Burning Springs, KY; two grandchildren, Jaycob Whitaker and Cooper Martin, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nackie Northern Stevens; and three siblings, Terry Stevens, Joy Hoskins, and an infant sister.
Funeral services for Irvin “Snook” Stevens will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Adam Eversole and Jerome Eversole officiating. Burial will follow at the Sams Cemetery in Manchester, Kentucky.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 14, 2021 beginning at 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour also at the funeral home.
The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
