Richard E. Allen, age 83 departed this life on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. He was born on Monday, January 11, 1937 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Harvey J. and Molly Anderson Allen. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Bethany Pentecostal Church.
He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Richard William Allen, Jeffrey Allen, Paul Russell Mays and his wife Lisa Ann Mays and Jeffrey Scott Mays, these grandchildren: Noah Allen, Clara Allen, Trenton Paul Mays, Duncan Allen, Cameron Allen, Jennifer Edwards, Stacy Johnson and Katelin Bowling. Also surviving is his brother: Bertram Allen and his wife Shelby Allen and his sisters: Judith Katron and Ethel Grace Smith.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Harvey J. and Molly Allen, his wife: Elois Allen and these brothers and sister: Bill Allen, Norwood Allen, Willis Allen and Dora Kotz.
Graveside Services for Richard E. Allen will be conducted on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 2:00 P. M. at the Potters Chapel Cemetery in the Bethany Community. Rev. Travis Fields and Rev. Steven Napier will be presiding. He will be laid to rest next to his wife: Elois in the Potters Chapel Cemetery.
There will not be any visitation.
