Obituary for Walter Morgan

Mr. Walter Morgan, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY, at the age of 70 years old. He was born on Sept. 24, 1950 in Leslie County the son of the late Henry and Eva Sizemore Morgan. By occupation Walter was a retired coal miner, and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County with the exception of having lived in Laurel County the past year and a half.

Walter was affiliated with the Lower Middlefork Pentecostal Church at Asher, KY.

He liked turkey, deer and squirrel hunting and enjoyed vegetable gardening. Walter loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry & Eva, two brothers: Oakley and Leon Morgan, four sisters: Sarah Brock, Elva Morgan, Ruth Hill and Rebecca Hacker.

He leaves surviving the following relatives: his loving and devoted wife: Jewell Hoskins Morgan of London, KY, one devoted son: Chris Morgan & Heather of London, KY , one cherished daughter: Stephaine Morgan of London, KY, two brothers: Murile Morgan & Elaine of Hoskinston, KY, Doug Morgan & Phylliss of Manchester, KY, three sisters: Francis Gibson of Manchester, KY, Oma Jean Hacker & Riley of Stinnett, Ky, and Sharon Collett of Hoskisnton, KY, two beloved granddaughters: Kinley & Karsyn.

Walter is also survived by a host of special nieces and nephews and other treasured relatives and friends.

FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M. - Sunday, March 14, 2021 at the Lower Middlefork Pentecostal Church at Asher, KY

VISITATION: 6:00 P.M.- Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the church.

OFFICIATING MINISTERS: Rev. Eugene Roberts, Rev. Tim Finley and Rev. Robert Lee Hacker.

PLACE OF INTERMENT: Albert Morgan Cemetery at Essie, KY

PALLBEARERS: Tony Morgan, Dwight Morgan, Brandon Morgan, Shannon Hacker, Doug Gregory, Maverick Gibson, Aaron Morgan, Jeff Hacker, Jason Morgan, and Austin Morgan.
