Dolly C. Kilburn was born in Wooton, Kentucky on November 23, 1932. She was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of the Olive Branch Church in Renfro Valley. Dolly had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, except for living in Mount Vernon, Kentucky for the past three years. Dolly was a retired cook, employed by the Leslie County Fiscal Court where she cooked many years for the Leslie County Senior Citizens.
Dolly enjoyed gardening, cooking, and going to yard sales. Above all, Dolly cherished the time being surrounded by her family. Dolly departed this walk of life on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Rockcastle County Regional Hospital. She was 88 years old.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Kilburn, one son, William “Billy” Kilburn, one brother, Filmore Clark and one sister, Ruby Pennington.
Dolly leaves behind, one beloved daughter, Pam Shepherd & husband, Jimmie ; five cherished grandchildren, Wayne Colyer (Pam), Devenna Colyer (Doug Bentley), Kellie Smith (Anthony), Leandra Kilburn and Shannon Shepherd (Brenda); her beloved great-grandchildren, Dakota, Jay, Josh, Waylon, Carrie, Paige, Lyndsey, Cody, Madison, Anthony Thomas, Lacie and Austin; three beloved great-great-grandchildren, Hazel, Jayda, and Easton. She is also survived by many friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00P.M. – Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Shannon Parkerson and Beauford Parkerson officiating. Interment will follow in the Browning Cemetery at Wooton, Kentucky. The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:00 – 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel.
