Elvis Deverne Wyatt, age 79 of Elmore, Alabama passed away Wednesday December 9, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Carol Storm Wyatt. They married in London, Kentucky on October 20, 1960 and shared 60 years of marriage together. Elvis was born in Blackwater, Laurel County, Kentucky on December 8, 1941; he was the son of John S. Wyatt and Edna Cobb Wyatt. He graduated from Lily High School in 1960 and enlisted in the Air Force the same year. He served his country for 20 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
After retiring from the Air Force he graduated from Troy University with a degree in business and was employed with the Civil Service until his retirement in 2004. He was of the Baptist Faith, an avid fisherman, a huge fan of University of Kentucky Basketball, loved gardening especially his heirloom tomatoes, and was devoted to his family.
He is survived by his loving wife Carol, daughter Sherri Lynn Henry, son Steven Wayne Wyatt (Tracey), son Markael David Wyatt (Shirlie). His grandchildren Heather Henry, Kristen Schassler, Michael Wyatt, Kayla (Brandon) Frayser, Elizabeth Mosley (Curk), Darren Harris, and Dakoda Anderson. Great Grandchildren; Austin Hankins, McKynzie Frayser, Liam Schassler, Landon Frayser, Maddox Schassler, and one on the way, brother James Wyatt, brother-in-law James Storm (Beth), sister-in-law Patricia Knapke (Bill), sister-in-law Susan Koerperich (Eldon). Nieces Jeannine Wyatt, Gale Reed (James), Cindy West (Steve), Rebecca Ogden, Laura Storm Brentari (Michael), and Chloe Storm. Nephews Jimmy Wyatt, John Wyatt, Joe Wyatt, and James Storm, and a host of great nieces, nephews and cousins whom he cherished. He was proceeded in death by his parents John and Edna Wyatt, Mother-in-law Mary Clark Storm, brother Claytis Dean Wyatt, sisters-in-law Margorie Beal Wyatt, Cathy Cheek Wyatt, Sue Storm. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday December 20, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Bowling Funeral Home, London, Kentucky with interment at Locust Grove Cemetery, Keavy, Kentucky immediately following. Visitation will be held Saturday December 19 from 6:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. Pall bearers will be his Grandsons.
