Daisy Jimenez was born December 22, 1937 in Hyden, Kentucky to the union of the late Mark and Faye Morgan Hensley. She was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. She was affiliated with the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church and formerly the Short Creek Mission. She was united in marriage to Rene Jimenez in Florida on October 21, 1969. Her love for her family was evident and she cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Daisy departed from this walk of life on Thursday, June 04, 2020 at the Landmark - Laurel Creek Nursing Home. She was 82 years old.
In addition to her parents, Daisy was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Denise Hensley.
Daisy leaves surviving her loving and devoted husband of nearly 51 years, Rene Jimenez of Bear Branch, KY; three sons, Bobby Hensley of Hyden, KY, Andrew Jimenez of Hyden, KY and Russell Jimenez & Lori of Manchester, KY; two daughters, Sherry Crawford & Carl David of Manchester, KY and Tammy Wells and Robert of Bear Branch, KY; two brothers, Ted Hensley & Lula Mae of Connersville, IN and Elmer Hensley & Flora Ann of Hyden, KY; six sisters, Helen Kerns of Springboro, OH, Vanda Whitten of West Milton, OH, Barbara Farler & Roy of Hyden, KY, Anna Mae Napier & Clarence of Hyden, KY, Ruth Lewis of Hyden, KY and Gail Jones & Billy Ray of Hyden, KY; five cherished grandchildren, Melinda, Breann, Andrea, Randall, and Ryder; six cherished great-grandchildren, Mallory, Jayden, Landon, Gunner, Nathan, and Shayley. A host of other family and friends also survive her passing.
FUNERAL: 2:00 P.M. - Tuesday, June 09, 2020 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Napier and Rev. Ted Couch officiating.
INTERMENT: Kentucky Veterans Cemetery - Southeast - Hyden, KY
VISITATION: 12:00 - 2:00 - Tuesday, June 09, 2020 at the funeral home chapel.
