Kathy Hensley Carpenter, age 58 of Manchester, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Friday May 08, 2020 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Kelly Hensley and the late America Barger Hensley. She worked as a nurse aid for Hyden Health and Rehab until she became disabled. Kathy enjoyed fishing, spending time with her family and being outdoors.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Joe Hensley.
She is survived by her son, Farris Greg Gilbert and wife, Rachel, and daughter, America Lucille Gilbert and husband, David. Three special brothers, Greg Hensley, Elbert Estep, and Harvey Hensley. and four special sisters, Darlene Gibson, Shirley Walker, Jenny Stewart and Mary Webb. Three grandchildren, Brittany and Kelly Bowling and Conner Gilbert. A host of other relatives and friends also survive.
All services will be private for Kathy Hensley Carpenter in accordance to mandates issued by the governor and the Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky. Burial will follow in the Little Mamaw Cemetery at County Line Road, Oneida, Kentucky.
The family has entrusted Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home to be in charge of the services.
