Donald E. Gilbert, age 91 departed this life on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky. He was born on Thursday, March 7, 1929 in Amhurst, Ohio to William and Clara Helton Gilbert. He was a supervisor for Essex International.
He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Carol Morgan, Jerry Gilbert and Melissa Miller, 11 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren and his sister: Wanda Moses.
He is preceded in death by his parents: William and Clara Gilbert, his daughter: Linda Taulbe, his brothers and sisters: Delbert Gilbert, Ken Gilbert, Carl Gilbert, Clovis Gilbert, Nadine Cone, Edith Gilbert and William Gilbert and his granddaughter: Carol Ann Hickman.
Funeral Services for Donald E. Gilbert will be conducted on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 12 PM at the New Bethel Baptist Church in Barbourville, Kentucky. Rev. Ron Smith will be presiding. He will be laid to rest in the New Bethel Cemetery in Barbourville.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday after 11 AM at the New Bethel Baptist Church.
