Glenna Mae Roark was born on February 23, 1941, in Laurel County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late William “Bardie” Lockaby and Ida Mae Davis Lockaby. She was united in marriage for over 58 years to Roscoe Emanuel Roark, who survives of Corbin.
She was the mother of Julie Roark of Keavy and the late Emanuel Roark, the grandmother of Courtney Medlock (Logan), the late Ronnie Roark, Ray Roark and Heather Roark, the great-grandmother of Brantley Medlock and Gauge Roark. She is also survived by a host of other friends and relatives to mourn her passing. In addition to her parents, son and grandson, she is also preceded in death by six siblings, Rachel Bentley, Julia Lewis, Lillian Frazier, Leland, Chester and Raymond Lockaby.
She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in Corbin.
Glenna Mae Roark departed this life at her home on Sunday, February 23, 2020, being 79 years of age.
Funeral services for Glenna Mae Roark will be conducted at 11 AM Thursday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Craig Thomas and Rev. Robert Akers officiating. Burial will follow in the Roark Family Cemetery at Keavy.
The family of Glenna Mae Roark will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home after 6 PM Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Bowling Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
