W.E. (Willie Elden) McQueen went home this evening, February 21, 2020 being 73 years, 1 month and 11 days of age. He was born January 10, 1947 in East Bernstadt, Kentucky to his parents Elden and Clara Callahan McQueen who preceded him in death.
W.E. leaves behind a loving wife of 51 years, Ann and two daughters, Theresa Morgan and husband Kimmy of Keavy, Kentucky and Jennifer Hoskins and husband Terry of Lily, Kentucky. He also leaves behind a very special granddaughter, Savannah Hoskins, who was the apple of his eye.
W.E. worked several jobs in his life, the last being at Laurel Grocery where he retired after 27 years of service. He was also a member of the East Bernstadt Fire Department for 25 years where he held many ranks, from fire fighter to assistant chief plus he also served as a board member. W.E. was a member of Carmichael Community Church which he loved plus all his church family whom he also loved and adored.
Funeral services for W.E. McQueen will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday at Carmichael Community Church with Jeff Lewis and Ryan Osborne officiating; burial will follow in Casteel Watkins Cemetery in East Bernstadt.
The family of W.E. McQueen will receive friends after 6:00 PM Sunday at Bowling Funeral Home.
