Obituary for Thomas Carlton "Tom" Jones

Thomas Carlton Jones

Thomas Carlton "Tom" Jones, 84, of Manchester, OH died Saturday, November 9, 2019 under the care of the Blue Grass Care Givers Hospice. He was born in Maysville, KY to the late Ancil and Dorothy (Cobb) Jones.

For 33 years, Tom worked at the Welded Wire Company, for Sprigg Township, and was also a Farmer. He was an Army Veteran and a former Reserve member. He attended the Enon Christian Church. Tom loved to hunt, fish, and be outdoors. He enjoyed being with his family, especially his nephew, Bobby.

Tom is survived by his daughter: Carla (Wesley) Dobbs of Manchester, KY, his grandchildren: Matthew Dobbs of Manchester, KY, Nathan Dobbs of London, KY, and Noah Dobbs of Manchester, KY, 1 great grandchild: Jaxson Dobbs of London, KY, 4 brothers and 3 sisters: Bobbie Ann Lang of Manchester, OH, Barbara Henderson of West Salem, OH, Alice Leonard of West Union, OH, James R Jones of Wilmington, OH, Johnny Lee Jones and Harvey Jones both of Manchester, OH, and Leslie Jones of Berea, KY, and 2 young gentlemen he thought of as grandsons: Luke Grooms and Tyler Scott.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Violet June Jones in 1998, a sister: Hazel Chritchfield, and a host of Nieces and Nephews.

A Funeral will be held for Tom at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 13 at Wilson Home for Funerals. Rev Dale Little will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Manchester Cemetery. Military graveside services will be performed by the Adams County Honor Guard. Visitation will be Tuesday, at 5:00 PM. until 7:00 PM.
