Reuben George Bennett “Punk” was born on January 16, 1947 in Clay County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Claude Bennett and Martha Cornett Bennett. Reuben departed this life on Sunday, October 20, 2019 being 72 years, 9 months and 4 days of age.
Punk retired from the Clay County Board of Education as a maintenance employee, he was also a farmer and a member of Pine Grove Church of God.
He was united in marriage to Brenda McQueen Bennett who survives of Annville, Kentucky.
He is also survived by three children, Carolyn Woods (Billy Bunch), Eva Rebecca Bennett both of London; and Jeff Bennett (Goldie) of Manchester; three siblings, Carol King (J.C.) of Ripley, Ohio; Barbara Chandler (Bill) of Melbourne, Florida; and Judy Goins (Charles) of Manchester; five grandchildren, Dylan Woods, Sarah Bennett, Caleb Bennett, Isaiah Mullins and Isabella Mullins.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Rose Thompson and Louise Greer.
