Gelois Jones, 82, of Manchester, KY, passed away Thursday, January 24th, at the Pikeville Medical Center.
Gelois was born in Brightshade, KY on February 15, 1936, a daughter of the late Ethel (Smith) and Willy R. Smith.
Gelois is survived by her three daughters: Linda Anderson and husband Charles of Naples, FL, Sherry Collins and husband Eugene Collins of London, and Kim Bowling and husband Charlie of London; and by her son,Darrell Jones and wife Kathleen of Goose Rock.
Gelois is also survived by her sister, Pauline Gray and husband J.C. of Manchester; by her 8 grandchildren: Tammy short, Ashley Jones, Kathy Bowling, Heather Brooke Collins, Shani Mackenzie Collins, Zachery Tyler Collins, Kelli Jo Roberts and Macy Jordan Roberts; 5 great grandchildren: Kyle Short, Eric Short, Brittney Short, Aiden Paul Hubbard and Amber Nicole Bowling; 3 great-great grandchildren: Rylin short, Taryn Short and Leytin Short.
In addition to her parents, Gelois was preceded in death by her son, Tony Jones; and the following brothers and sisters: Vernon Smith, Eugene Smith, Preston Jennings Smith, Vance Smith and Lessie Calton.
Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 27th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY, with Kenny Smith and Denny McCowan officiating. Burial will follow at the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held 6:00 PM on Saturday, January 26th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY.
