RICHMOND, Ky. –The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was called just before 7:30 pm Sunday evening, September 11, 2016 and is now conducting an investigation after a northern Madison County gas station was robbed.
The initial investigation indicates that an armed suspect entered the BP Gas Station located at 3002 Simpson Lane, just off of KY-627 near I-75, and demanded that the clerk open the cash register. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark colored bandana over his face, a blue long sleeve shirt, khaki pants, boots, and a dark colored hat that said ‘American Sniper’. He left the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, and no serious injuries were reported at the scene.
KSP Personnel and Deputies from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search of the area, and were unable to located the alleged suspect.
If anyone saw any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the robbery or can identify the suspect seen in the surveillance photographs, they are asked to call KSP Post 7 at 859-623-2404.
