Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Gilbert Acciardo provided child identification by fingerprinting children at Finley's Fun Center.
On Monday night, August 29 2016, Finleys conducted a "Skate with a Cop Night" offering free admission to participants.
Pictured is Deputy Acciardo fingerprinting 5 year old Scotty, one of the many children in attendance. The fingerprints are then given to parents for safekeeping in the event that their child is ever lost or missing. The completed child identification form assists law enforcement in locating missing children.
In addition, Deputy Acciardo put on skates to skate with children in attendance.
London City Police Officer Drew Wilson was also in attendance. Everyone had a great time!
Sheriff Root stated that our children are the future of Laurel County, and he welcomes opportunities for his deputies and children to interact.
