Shortly after midnight on 9/1/16, a member of the Maryland State Police, College Park Barrack conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle equipment violation on the Capital Beltway in the area of Rt. 1, College Park, Prince George’s County, Maryland.
Further investigation by the trooper revealed the scent of a controlled dangerous substance coming from inside the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed the possession of Marijuana-25 individually packed baggies, a loaded Glock 27 stolen from an out of state police department and approximately $1,000 cash.
The vehicle was seized pending vehicle forfeiture. The driver was a resident of Virginia and 18 years old. He was arrested and interviewed, however, he did not want to talk. He was criminally charged for these crimes and transported to the Prince George’s County Commissioner.
