Trooper Saves Man and Child from Flood Waters / Pulaski County


London, Ky. – On Tuesday, August 02, 2016 at approximately 2:46 AM Pulaski County 911 received a call from a male subject advising he and his 3 year old daughter were stuck inside a vehicle in rising flood waters on Norwood Mount Zion Road in Pulaski County.

Trooper Adam Childress was close to the area and responded to the scene. Upon arrival he observed a man and child inside a vehicle which was on the verge of being overtaken by strong flood waters. Trooper Childress waded out against a strong current and rescued the 3 year old child and carried her to safety. He then assisted the child's father.

No injuries occurred as a result of the rescue or flood waters.

Trooper Childress is a 5 year veteran with the Kentucky State Police.
