Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Brandon Broughton and Deputy Kyle Gray were dispatched to a complaint that a male subject had been electrocuted and was laying on power lines off Marydale Road, approximately 10 miles east of London on Sunday afternoon June 12, 2016 at approximately 3:42 PM.
When deputies arrived at the scene they learned that a male subject had been trying to get a drone device out of a tree with a pool net while standing on a ladder when the pole of the net got into an electric line.
The male subject was transported to UK med Center in Lexington by PHI helicopter. The male subject was identified as Robert Banaszak of Marydale Road.
Other emergency responders assisting at the scene included Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County and Bush Volunteer Fire Department.
Also assisting at the scene was Jackson Energy.
Deputy Broughton provided a photo of emergency responders at the scene.
