Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Kyle Gray arrested a male subject of West Laurel Rd., London, on Sunday evening, April 3, 2016, at approximately 5:42 PM.
Arrested was Brian Nicholas Mounts, age 33. The arrest occurred on West Laurel Rd., approximately 4 miles west of London after Deputy Gray was dispatched to a domestic violence complaint there.
When Deputy Gray arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation, he learned that the suspect had left the residence prior to his arrival. He also learned that the suspect had attacked a cousin at the scene causing red marks on the victim's arms and neck from being hit and thrown to the floor of the residence.
The suspect left the residence yelling and cursing neighbors. Deputy Gray was able to locate the suspect approximately 1 mile away from the scene walking on West Laurel Rd.
An investigation was conducted and the suspect was determined to be under the influence – he admitted to injecting meth and Suboxone earlier.
Brian Nicholas Mounts was charged with assault – 4th degree – domestic violence: disorderly conduct – second degree; and public intoxication – controlled substances and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
