Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Kyle Gray arrested two individuals on Saturday afternoon March 12, 2016 at approximately 3:50 P.M.
The arrests occurred on Waterworks Road, approximately 1 mile south of London after Deputy Gray observed a Pontiac vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at the entrance of St. Joseph Hospital London and Parker Road pulling out directly in front of the path of Deputy Gray's police car.
Deputy Gray conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from the driver. An investigation was conducted and the driver was determined to be under the influence.
Arrested was: Paula Ann Scott age 48 0f Green Meadow Road, London charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; disregarding a stop sign; failure to wear a seatbelt; and careless driving.
Also arrested was the passenger who was determined to be under the influence and was identified as Claude Henegar age 47 of Green Meadow Road, London charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place.
The two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
