LSO makes PI and disorderly conduct arrest in motel lobby

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Kyle Gray along with Deputy Brandon Broughton and Deputy Jamie Grimes arrested William Lee Hale, age 48, of Bear Hollow Rd., Rockholds, KY, on Monday night, March 7, 2016, at approximately 10:10 PM.

The arrest occurred in a motel lobby, 10 miles south of London off exit 29 after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of two intoxicated subjects allegedly fighting in the lobby of the motel there.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they learned that one subject had fled the scene prior to their arrival. Deputies conducted an investigation determining that this subject that remained behind was under the influence – this subject stated he had been taking several pills and drinking a fifth of Jim Beam.

William Lee Hale was charged with public intoxication – controlled substances and disorderly conduct – second-degree and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
