(Richmond, KY) — The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, has arrested and charged a Madison County woman with Criminal Abuse as the result of an ongoing investigation.
Bessie Perkins, 34 years old of Richmond was arrested yesterday afternoon and is charged with Criminal Abuse 1st Degree and Criminal Abuse 2nd Degree. Perkins has been lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
The Kentucky State Police began their investigation after the parents of the infants sought medical attention for injuries that their children sustained. The initial investigation alleges that Bessie Perkins injured the two children while they were in her care, over a period of approximately six weeks.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Detective Rob Morris.
