(LONDON, KY.) – On Sunday, October 18, 2015 at approximately 9:15 PM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a report of an unresponsive female lying in the roadway on KY HWY 1651 in the Revelo community of McCreary County.
Upon arrival, Trooper Wendell Higginbotham discovered Christina Miller, 34, of Pine Knot, deceased. Through investigation it was determined that Miller had been struck by a vehicle as she was walking northbound on KY HWY 1651. The vehicle then left the scene.
Miller was pronounced deceased at the scene by the McCreary County Coroner’s Office and an autopsy has been scheduled for today at the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
The vehicle that fled the scene and the operator are unknown at this time. Anyone with any information in reference to this investigation is asked to contact Kentucky State Police Post 11 at 606-878-6622 or 1-800-222-5555.
Trooper Higginbotham and KSP Detective Billy Correll are continuing the investigation and were assisted at the scene by Troopers from Post 11, McCreary County Sheriff’s Office, McCreary County Coroner’s Office, McCreary County EMS and Pine Knot Fire Department.
