Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Travis Napier arrested Joshua Gilliam, age 27, of Terrell's Creek Rd., London, on Friday afternoon, September 11, 2015, at approximately 2:53 PM.
The arrest occurred off McWhorter Road approximately 1 mile east of London after deputies responded to a possible domestic violence complaint.
When deputies arrived at the scene and located the vehicle and conducted an investigation they determined that the complaint was unfounded.
While checking individuals involved for outstanding warrants, it was determined that Joshua Gilliam had three outstanding bench warrants of arrest.
Joshua Gilliam was charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court regarding a charge of violation of the Kentucky EPO/DVO; also charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court regarding a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia; in addition- charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court regarding a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence.
Joshua Gilliam was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Deputies assisting on the earlier complaint and the arrest included Deputy Jamie Grimes, Deputy Rick Cloyd, and Deputy Shawn Boroviak.
