FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 6, 2015) – Governor Steve Beshear’s emergency order pertaining to truck drivers responding to winter storm relief efforts has been posted on the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s website.
Drivers required to have copy of order in truck cab
The order, issued Thursday, temporarily relieves drivers of commercial motor vehicles from restrictions on hours of service, certain permit fees and other restrictions, while they are transporting relief supplies or responding to restore power and remove debris.
Relief supplies include food, water, medicine, propane and other commodities. They also include hay, water, forage and other supplies for livestock.
