LONDON, KY - London Police Chief Jerry Hollon is reporting that Officer Jordan Childers along with LPD's Special Investigation Drug Interdiction Unit recently arrested Shawn Hardy, age 45, of Irvine, KY.
The arrest occurred after Officer Childers observed a suspicious vehicle just off N. Main Street in London and made contact with Hardy who was located in the vehicle.
During their interaction, officers located several items of contraband in plain view.
Through further investigation, Officer Childers located two baggies containing a substance believed to be Heroin and other items related to trafficking narcotics.
Shawn Hardy was arrested for:
- Trafficking In Controlled Substance 1st Offense (Heroin)
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

At this time the investigation is still ongoing. Officer Childers is the investigating officer and was assisted on scene by Det. Wes Wolfe, Det. Landry Collett, Det. Travis Couch, Det. Josh Morgan, Sgt. John Inman, Officer Kenneth Proffitt and Officer Kendric Smith.
