LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Daniel Reed arrested Darrell Proffitt age 55 of London, KY on Thursday October 3rd, 2024 at approximately 6:52 PM.
The arrest occurred off East Campground Road approximately 9 miles SE of London after deputies were dispatched by the London-Laurel County 911 Center to a complaint that a male subject had came stumbling out of the woods into the road and then passed out in a ditch.
Upon arrival, Deputy Reed observed Proffitt stumbling in the roadway. It was determined that Proffitt was under the influence of a controlled substance and he was taken into custody.
Darrell W. Proffitt was charged with:
- Public Intoxication - Controlled Substance
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
