Lincoln County, KY Man Found Deceased During Ongoing KSP Post 7 Missing Person Investigation

KINGS MOUNTAIN, KY – According to the Kentucky State Police (KSP): On Friday, October 4, 2024, KSP Post 7, Richmond continued search efforts in the Robertstown Road area for Mr. Millard 'Clem' Mason.

Over the past few days, KSP Troopers, detectives, and EMA search and rescue teams from surrounding counties conducted ground searches across multiple locations in Lincoln County.

Their efforts led to the discovery of a deceased male in a wooded area near Robertstown Road in Kings Mountain.

The initial investigation confirmed the deceased male as Millard Clem Mason, 61 years old, of Stanford, KY. Mr. Mason was pronounced deceased by the Lincoln County Coroner's Office. The cause of death is under investigation; however, foul play is not suspected. An autopsy will be performed at the Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Post 7 Detective Frank Thornberry. He was assisted on scene by KSP personnel, EMA search and rescue and Lincoln County Coroner’s Office.

STANFORD, Ky. (October 2, 2024) – The Kentucky State Police Richmond Post is asking for the public’s assistance as part of an ongoing missing person investigation.

KSP Post 7 was contacted on October 1, 2024, in reference to a missing Lincoln County man. Initial investigation indicates Millard ‘Clem’ Mason, 61 years old, of Stanford, KY, was last seen on September 30, 2024, near Greenbriar Road in Stanford. He is described as a white male, 5’7” tall, 145 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a Flannel T-shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about his location is asked to contact the KSP Richmond Post at 859-623-2404.

The investigation is ongoing by Post 7 Trooper Zach Leigh.
