LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Bobby Roberts arrested two individuals on Friday evening August 30, 2024 at approximately 6:57 PM.
The arrests occurred off Rocky Branch Road, approximately 4 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched by London – Laurel County 911 Communication Ctr. to a complaint of a reckless driver.
When deputies arrived in the vicinity of the complaint they located the suspect vehicle, a white Chevrolet Equinox on the side of the roadway. Deputies determined through investigation that the two individuals were under the influence and placed them under arrest.
The two arrested individuals were identified as: Fairlon Smith, age 69, of Gray, KY and Shanna Ray Abrams, age 40, of Gray, KY.
Fairlon Smith was charged with:
- Alcohol intoxication in a public place
- Indecent exposure – first-degree – first offense
Shanna Abrams was charged with:
- Alcohol intoxication in a public place
- Disorderly conduct – second-degree
- Indecent exposure – first-degree – first offense
These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel Correctional Center.
