LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Interdiction Unit Justin Taylor arrested Chad Allen Parks age 49 of Pikeville, KY on Monday night August 12, 2024 at approximately 11:15 PM.
The arrest occurred on Barbourville road (KY 229), approximately 5 miles South of London after Deputy Taylor was dispatched by London – Laurel County 911 Communication Ctr. to a complaint of a male subject walking in the middle of the roadway.
KY 229 is a busily traveled roadway and the complaint was received and dispatched well after dark. When Interdiction Unit Justin Taylor arrived in the vicinity of the complaint he located the suspect standing in the middle of the roadway and noted that he appeared to be under the influence.
An investigation was conducted and this subject was determined to be under the influence.
Chad Allen Parks was charged with:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
