LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Cyruss McVey arrested Steven Williams, age 49 of London early Monday morning August 5, 2024 at approximately 5:36 AM.
The arrest occurred off Riviera Lane, approximately 4 miles west of London after Deputy McVey was dispatched by London – Laurel County 911 Communication Ctr. to a trespass complaint there.
While enroute to the scene it was learned that the suspect had previously been trespassed from the property there.
When Deputy McVey arrived at the scene, he noted that the suspect apparently observed him arriving and attempted to head in the other direction away from Deputy McVey.
On making contact with the suspect, Deputy McVey found the suspect in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Steven Williams was charged with:
- Criminal trespassing – second-degree
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
