COVINGTON POLICE DEPARTMENT CAPTURE ESCAPED INMATE FROM DETENTION CENTER IN CAMPBELL COUNTY, KENTUCKY

NEWPORT, KY  – According to a Kentucky State Police (KSP) News Release, an escaped inmate was captured in Kenton County on Wednesday, July 31, by the Covington Police Department.

Jamie Sage Holt, 33, of Florence, KY escaped from the Campbell County Detention Center on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at approximately 12:15 pm.

The Covington Police Department located and arrested Mr. Holt on Wednesday, July 31 and transported him to the Kenton County Detention Center.

Holt was booked into the facility at 9:25 P.M. and lodged there on the charge of:

  • SERVING WARRANT (FOR OTHER POLICE AGENCY)

NEWPORT, Ky. (July 30, 2024) – On Tuesday, at approximately 12:33 pm, Kentucky State Police were called to investigate the escape of an inmate from the Campbell County Detention Center in Newport, Ky.

Jamie Sage Holt (33), of Florence Ky. escaped from the Campbell County Detention Center on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at approximately 12:15 pm. Mr. Holt walked away from a job site on Fredrick’s Landing in Wilder, Ky. He was last seen wearing a Campbell Co. Detention Center neon orange shirt and blue jean pants. Mr. Holt has tattoos on his face under his eyes that say “LUST and HATE”, he also has several tattoos on both arms. See attached photo. 

Currently there is no information on potential locations or route.
