LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Bobby Roberts arrested Courtney Amber Maggard, age 30 of London early Monday morning July 22, 2024 at approximately 1:07 AM.
The arrest occurred on Hammock Road, approximately 3 miles South of London after Deputy Roberts was dispatched by London – Laurel County 911 Communications Ctr. to a complaint of a vehicle in the ditch there.
Upon arrival at the scene Deputy Roberts located a silver Chevrolet Impala and noted while speaking to the female driver that he detected the odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from her.
An investigation was conducted and this individual was determined to be under the influence.
Courtney Maggard was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
