INJURY COLLISION ON HIGHWAY 141 IN UNION COUNTY, KENTUCKY

PRIDE, KY - Kentucky State Police (KSP) reports that on Thursday, July 18, 2024, Post 16, Henderson received a call from Union County Dispatch around 7:20 am of a single-vehicle collision on KY 141 south near Pride in Union County.

Preliminary investigation reveals 56-year-old Matthew Jones of Sturgis, KY was traveling northbound on KY 141 in a Peterbilt service truck. The investigation determined, Jones ran off the side of the road where he lost control, crossing both lanes and striking and earth embankment on the southbound side.

Jones was airlifted to Deaconess Midtown in Evansville for his injuries. He is in stable condition but his injuries are unknown at this time.

Kentucky 141 was shutdown for two hours as troopers investigated the collision. 

The investigation is on-going by the Kentucky State Police.

Kentucky State Police, Union County Sheriff’s Office, Sturgis, Whispering Meadows, Morganfield and Sullivan Fire Departments, Union County EMS, Union County EMA and Deaconess Emergency Services assisted troopers at the scene.
