FOUR SUBJECTS LOCATED AT ONE ADDRESS JAILED TUESDAY MORNING IN LAUREL COUNTY, KENTUCKY / TWO FOR RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY AND TWO ON A COMBINED TOTAL OF SEVEN WARRANTS OF ARREST

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's shift Sgt. Brett Reeves along with Deputy Noah Ritchie arrested two individuals on Tuesday morning May 14, 2024 at approximately 10:45 AM.

The arrests occurred at a residence off Philpot Road approximately 2 miles South of London after deputies developed information on the whereabouts of a 1988 Chevrolet pickup truck that had been reported stolen the day before off Riverbend Road.

Within 14 hours, Sheriff's investigators developed information on the whereabouts of the pickup and as deputies pulled onto the property where the stolen vehicle was, Sgt. Reeves noted observing a male subject turn and flee from the stolen vehicle parked beside the home there.

Sgt. Reeves also noted observing a weapon in the small of the male suspect's back.

As the suspect ran around the house, Sgt. Reeves alerted Deputy Richie who had circled the residence in the other direction, and the suspect was disarmed by Deputy Ritchie and taken into custody.

Three other persons were located inside the residence and initially would not exit the residence but ultimately did where they were detained.

Other deputies and Sheriff's detectives arrived at the scene along with London City Police officers who arrived to assist.

An investigation was conducted and the pickup truck was determined to be the pickup stolen off Riverbend Road the night before.

In addition, Sheriff's investigators located clothes, mail, and a debit card inside the pickup belonging to Terry Brandon Browning, the suspect who had initially fled on foot.

Deputies also located a Social Security card, ID card and a female's set of shoes in the pickup truck and determined that they belonged to Margie Bowling, a female subject that had been located inside the residence.

Two other individuals that had been in the residence were determined to have outstanding warrants.

The weapon recovered from Terry Browning was determined to be a look alike Glock BB pistol.

The arrested individuals have been identified as: Terry Brandon Browning age 45 of Barbourville St., London, KY, Margie Bowling age 36 of Reams Ln., London, KY, Bridgette Murray age 40 of Philpot Rd., London, KY and Steve Couch age 45 of Philpot Rd., London, KY.

Terry Brandon Browning was charged with:

  • Receiving stolen property $1000 or more but under $10,000
  • Fleeing or evading police – second-degree – on foot

Margie Bowling was charged with:

  • Receiving stolen property $1000 or more but under $10,000

Bridgette Murray was charged on 4 Laurel District Court bench warrants of arrest charging:

  • Failure to appear in court regarding child support

In addition, Murray was charged on another Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court regarding charges of:

  • Contempt of court
  • Theft by failure to make required disposition of property $500 or more but under $1000

Steve Couch was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging:

  • Failure to appear in court regarding child support

And in addition, Couch had another Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:

  • Criminal mischief – second-degree

All four suspects were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
