RICHMOND, KY - The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a response to the 5800 block of Battlefield Memorial Highway on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 around 5:30 p.m. regarding a motorist assist.
Deputy Shane Johnson made contact with the female driver with a small child passenger.
The driver identified as Ashley Griffith stated she needed a jump start for her vehicle.
Further investigation into the vehicle, led to the discovery of an Amber Alert through Virginia for an Endangered Missing Person and Warrant for Abduction on Ashley Jordan Griffith.
Ashley Jordan Griffith, 30 years old of Gate City, VA, was charged with:
- Resisting Arrest
- Fugitive from Another State
Griffith was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
The child was taken into custody by Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies.
