ARRESTS WITH ILLEGAL DRUGS SEIZED AT KSP TRAFFIC SAFETY CHECKPOINT IN MAGOFFIN COUNTY, KENTUCKY

SALYERSVILLE, KY (May 6, 2024) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) are reporting the arrest of two individuals on Thursday, April 25, 2024 after illegal drugs were discovered during a traffic safety checkpoint. 

KSP troopers, along with Post 9’s Criminal Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic safety checkpoint in the Salyersville community of Magoffin County. During the safety checkpoint, approximately half a pound of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were seized. 

Nicholas Barnett, 36, of West Van Lear, was arrested and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on charges of Trafficking Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and other traffic related violations.

Tony Endicott, 58, of West Van Lear, was arrested and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on charges of Trafficking Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
