LONDON, KY - On Monday, April 15, 2024 at approximately 10:19 pm, Officer Coty Arnold arrested Jarred Depew, age 48 of London, KY.
While on routine patrol, Officer Arnold observed a male operating an ATV on the railroad tracks near Tobacco Road and 9th Street and conducted a traffic stop on the ATV.
As he approached the operator, identified as Depew, appeared to be trying to shift through the gears in order to take off.
However, Officer Arnold was able to take him into custody before he could do so.
Officer Arnold noted that the Depew was showing signs of impairment and had him conduct Standard Field Sobriety Tests.
Upon completion, it was confirmed that Depew was under the influence and placed under arrest without further incident.
Depew was later lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Jarred Depew was charged with:
- Operating a Motor Vehicle U/Influence of Alcohol - 1st Offense
- All Terrain Vehicle Violations
- License to be in Possession
