LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Nate Bishop along with Deputy Matt Walker arrested Dustin Patterson age 30 of London on Sunday night March 24, 2024 at approximately 7:55 PM.
The arrest occurred off Taylor Bridge Road, approximately 4 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of an out-of-control subject there.
Upon arrival at the scene, Deputies noted that the male suspect fled on foot to the back of the residence and following a short foot chase was located hiding in a shed behind the residence, and was taken into custody.
The suspect stated that it was an instinct to run when he saw the law. The suspect was determined to be under the influence and determined to have three active warrants of arrest including two indictment warrants.
Dustin Patterson was charged with:
- fleeing or evading police – second-degree – on foot; alcohol intoxication
In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel Circuit Court indictment warrant of arrest charging:
- Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
- Persistent felony offender I
Also, the subject was charged on a second indictment warrant of arrest charging:
- Burglary – first-degree
- Theft by unlawful taking $10,000 or more but under $1 million
- Persistent felony offender I
And this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court complaint warrant charging:
- Theft by failure to make required disposition of property
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
