LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Tommy Houston and Deputy Matt Walker arrested two individuals on Friday afternoon March 15, 2024 at approximately 12:07 PM.
The arrests occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team detained two female individuals there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies conducted an investigation and learned that allegedly the two individuals had driven to Walmart in a silver Mitsubishi Gallant.
In addition, both individuals were determined to be under the influence, both advising they had used Methamphetamine earlier, one shooting up and one snorting.
Also, it was determined that the two individuals had allegedly shoplifted items totaling $87 in value.
The two arrested individuals were identified as: The driver, Isabella Yarbrough age 30 of Hodgenville, KY and the passenger, Tesia Terry age 28 of Ten Mile, Tennessee.
Isabella Yarbrough was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting
Tesia Terry was charged with:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
- Theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting
These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
