LITTCARR, KY – The Kentucky State Police reports that on Monday, February 5, 2024, at approximately 3:39 P.M, KSP Post 13, Hazard, received a 911 call in reference to a two-vehicle injury collision on KY-160 located in the Littcarr community of Knott County.
Troopers, along with medical personnel responded to the scene.
The initial investigation determined that Steve Howard, 65, of Hazard, was operating his motorcycle southbound on KY-160.
A red passenger car traveling northbound crossed the center divider striking the motorcycle, head on.
Howard was transported by ambulance crews to Whitesburg A.R.H hospital where he succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision.
This incident remains under investigation and is being reconstructed by Detective Scott Caudill and Detective Brandon Thomas.
