LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Noah Ritchie along with Deputy Allen Turner and shift Sgt. Brett Reeves arrested Anthony Taylor age 24 of London on Tuesday morning January 30, 2024 at approximately 11:30 AM.
The arrest occurred off Barbourville Road, approximately 8 miles South east of London while deputies were in the vicinity investigating a stolen vehicle and a possible suspect.
When deputies encountered this individual, they conducted an investigation and learned that this individual had an outstanding warrant of arrest.
Upon arrest, this individual began yelling and creating a disturbance and struggled with deputies before being taken into custody.
Anthony Taylor was charged with:
- Resisting arrest
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Fleeing or evading police – second-degree – on foot
- Disorderly conduct – second-degree
- Menacing
In addition, this subject was charged on an outstanding warrant; A criminal complaint warrant of arrest charging:
- Criminal trespass – third-degree
- Menacing
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
