LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root Is reporting that a new phone scam has surfaced in Laurel County.
In this latest scam the caller(S) is/are identifying themselves as Publishers Clearing House.
They're telling the recipient that they have won a prize and need to pay a $100 filing fee in order to claim the prize.
This is a scam to obtain money from unsuspecting systems.
Do not give or send money!
The Laurel County Sheriff's Office is investigating this most recent scam.
