SOMERSET, KY - Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones is reporting the arrest of a Bronston man for Possession of Destructive Device or Booby Trap Device.
On December 12, 2023, Deputy Ron Hellard attempted to serve Christian Paulk, age 56, of Bronston, KY, an Emergency Protective Order at his residence.
As Dep. Hellard pulled into the driveway of Paulk’s residence, his vehicle was rendered incapacitated as he drove over hidden wooden planks with nails sticking upward, damaging both front tires of Dep. Hellard’s patrol vehicle.
The value of damage to Dep. Hellard’s patrol vehicle was valued at over $600.
A warrant was filed for Paulk charging him with:
- Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree
- Possession of Destructive Device or Booby Trap Device
According to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, Paulk was arrested by SGT Dan Pevley on the warrant without further incident on Wednesday morning December 20, 2023 at approximately 10:37 AM. Since there appears to be no record of this arrest in the Pulaski County Detention Center website, Mr. Paulk (Photo left is from the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office Facebook page) was possibly released.
However, according to the Pulaski County Detention Center's website, Christian Edward Paulk age 56 of Bronston, KY was arrested on Thursday, December 21, 2023 charged with:
- VIOLATION OF A KENTUCKY EPO/DVO
Mr. Paulk was booked into the Pulaski County Detention Center Thursday night December 21, 2023 at 8:07 PM on a $5000 bond with a court date set for Thursday, December 28 at 9:00 AM.
