LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Nate Bishop along with K-9 Deputy Brian France arrested Regina W. Spurlock age 45 of London on Monday evening November 6, 2023 at approximately 6:45 PM.
The arrest occurred on Hawk Creek Road, approximately 6 miles west of London after deputies were dispatched by Laurel 911 Communications Ctr. regarding a complaint of a reckless driver apparently operating a red colored Dodge Ram pickup.
Upon arrival to the Hawk Creek Road vicinity, deputies noted observing the suspect vehicle and noted an equipment violation visible on the suspect vehicle.
Upon activating their emergency equipment the vehicle veered off the shoulder of the roadway into the ditch off Hawk Creek Road then back onto Hawk Creek Road stopping.
Deputies conducted an investigation noting that they detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from the driver. The driver was determined to be under the influence, arrested and transported to the Laurel County Correctional Center.
Regina W. Spurlock was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
- Operating on suspended or revoked operator's license
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
