BOONEVILLE, KY – The Kentucky State Police (KSP), is reporting that just before 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2023, KSP Post 7, Richmond was contacted in reference to a two-vehicle collision on KY-30 near KY-1411 in Owsley County.
The initial investigation indicates a 2003 Chevrolet Tracker, being operated by Dennis Neeley, 69, of Booneville, KY, was traveling east on KY-30 and crossed the center line into the path of a 2008 Dodge Ram, being operated by Cecil R. Tuner, 57, of Booneville, KY, traveling west.
As a result of the collision, Dennis Neeley, 69, of Booneville, KY, was fatally injured and pronounced deceased on scene by the Jackson County Coroner.
Cecil R. Turner, 57 years old of Booneville, operator of the other vehicle, was transported to Kentucky River Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Trooper Tyler Holt is conducting the ongoing collision investigation. He was assisted on scene by Kentucky State Police personnel, Owsley County EMS, Owsley County Fire Department and Owsley County Coroner's Office.
