LONDON, KY - (October 30, 2022) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) reports that KSP Post 11, London received a call for assistance from Laurel County Dispatch around 1:00 AM with a structure fire on Terrell Road 10 miles south of London in Laurel County.
After the fire was extinguished, firefighters discovered the remains of one human inside the burnt residence.
The victim was identified as 54 year-old Melissa S. Creech of London, KY. The Laurel County Coroner’s Office pronounced Melissa Creech deceased on scene.
Investigators are working together to determine the cause of the fire.
Kentucky State Police Trooper Steve Walker is continuing the investigation, he was assisted on scene by the KY Fire Marshalls Office, several local fire departments and the Laurel County Coroner’s Office.
This case remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
