LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Zach Allen along with London City Police Officer Hobie Daugherty arrested Shannon M. Fritz, age 46 of Oceanside, California on Saturday afternoon October 21, 2023 at approximately 1:54 PM.
The arrest occurred in a business parking lot off West Hal Rogers Parkway in London after Laurel 911 Dispatch radioed a complaint to London City Police at a service station off West Hal Rogers Pkwy.
Officers were advised that a female subject was inside the business creating a disturbance.
Deputy Allen was in the immediate vicinity and located the female subject in the parking lot of a business there and noted detecting the odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from her.
An investigation was conducted and it was learned that Fritz was a wanted person in multiple states that would not extradite.
Officers made contact with the business that had originated the complaint and learned that this individual had been inside yelling and screaming and throwing items at workers.
Officers determined that this subject was under the influence and upon arrest, the female subject briefly scuffled before being taken into custody.
Shannon Fritz was charged with:
- ALCOHOL INTOX IN A PUBLIC PLACE (1ST & 2ND OFFENSE
- RESISTING ARREST
- DISORDERLY CONDUCT, 2ND DEGREE
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
