LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Zach Allen along with Deputy Daniel Reed arrested Kermit Bruner age 65 of London on Friday evening October 13, 2023 at approximately 6:20 PM.
The arrest occurred on Pine Top Road, approximately 4 miles west of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a traffic crash apparently involving a possible intoxicated driver.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies located the driver and conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence.
In addition, it was determined that Bruner was operating on a DUI suspended license and had two outstanding warrants.
Kermit Bruner was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense
- Driving on a DUI suspended license – first offense
- Leaving the scene of an accident.
In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
Also, this subject was charged on a Whitley District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court for arraignment on charges of:
- Assault – 4th degree
- Operating on suspended or revoked operator's license
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
