LONDON, KY - The London Police Department is reporting that on Sunday, October 8, 2023, LPD officer's received a complaint from the London Dispatch Center requesting backup on a person possibly under the influence in a single vehicle collision.
Cpl. Webb arrived on scene at the collision and made contact with Deputy Reid and then making contact with Bobby L. Barlow age 19, of London, Kentucky.
Cpl. Webb noted that Mr. Barlow had a strong alcoholic odor about his person.
During the investigation, Cpl. Webb determined Mr. Barlow, who had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech was under the influence of alcohol and he was taken into cusody and transported to the Laurel County Correctional Center.
Bobby Barlow is charged with:
- RECKLESS DRIVING
- CARELESS DRIVING
- OPER MTR VEHICLE U/INFL ALC .08 (189A.010(1A) - 3RD
- NO OPERATORS-MOPED LICENSE
- POSS OF OPEN ALC BEVERAGE CONT IN MOTOR VEH PROHIBITED
- LICENSE TO BE IN POSSESSION
- DRIVING DUI SUSPENDED LICENSE - 2ND OFFENSE
- FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS
- NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center with a court date set for December 5, 2023 at 9:30 AM.
